100% School Families Party!

We expect to have something to celebrate! So let's have a party!

Mark your calendars - June 2 is our 100% school families party. We expect by then to reach our 100% participation goal for school families to have pledged to the renovation of the Antioch School - we are already at 50%. Thank you to everyone who has already found a way to pitch in!

Remember that it's NOT about how much you give, but that all of us support the plans to renovate and renew the school. It seems we would all want the furnace to work next winter? And the windows to let in less of a breeze?

We are getting a lot for our money - here's what will be new: Windows, front doors, lighting, heating, paint, ceilings, flooring and even a sink for the Kindergarten! All of this for 370K is fantastic! We have raised 80% of what we need and are confident the rest will come. Part of this depends on showing that 100% of school families are behind this renovation. Perhaps you would like to contribute labor rather than money - let us know how you can help.

Start off June 2 with the non-stop fun of a school work bee. This one will be radical - the whole school needs to be empty! We will need help the entire week of May 28 - June 2 to get this done. When the work is over EVERYONE is invited to Paul & Caroline Mullin's farm for a bonfire (beginning at 6pm) We will have hayrides, goat petting, maybe we'll even get out the trebuchet and launch something! We will charge $10 per family for all you can eat hot dogs, beans, and s'mores. (And make accommodations for diet limitations) BYOB. If you have any questions about the renovation, pledge opportunities, or would like to help out please talk to any member of the development committee.

Please help us make 100% happen!

Caroline Mullin, Lora and Tony Boarman, Matt Bold, Steve Conn, Elaine Chappelle, Chasilee Crawford, Cammy Grote, Wendy Hoff

A Night with Bill Felker
March 8, 2007
Thank You to Bill Felker, Glen Helen, WYSO, and the Antioch School Development Committee for your aid in making this a wonderfully successful event!

What actually is Spring?

What can it do to our bodies and brains?

Does connection or disconnection from nature matter?

Bill will discuss the unfolding of March, April, and May in the Miami Valley.

Everyone is invited to bring his or her own stories to share.
